This year I will be undertaking an Education Residency at The Hutchins School through the Arts Tasmania Education Residencies program. The Education Residencies provide an opportunity for Tasmanian artists to focus on their practice in an educational environment working alongside teachers and students. Residencies build young people’s capacity to engage with the Arts whilst enhancing student social health and well-being, and allowing artists to inspire, re-connect or introduce teachers to new ideas and approaches.
During my time at The Hutchins School I will be working towards my solo exhibition at M Contemporary in July . I will also be engaging with the students about my practice and why and how I make my work. This is such a fantastic opportunity to work with the next generation of artists and have dedicated studio time for my own work.
This project was assisted through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts.
